The College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT), known in Korean as Suneung, is South Korea's national standardized university entrance examination, administered annually since 1994 by the Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation. Held on a single day in November, it covers subjects including Korean language, mathematics, English, Korean history and electives, and is treated as an event of major national significance, with flights delayed during the English listening section and businesses adjusting hours to reduce noise near test centers.
