Critical Race and Culturally Relevant Pedagogy Theorists

Scholars who connect teaching to the culture and history of students, including culturally relevant pedagogy, critical race theory in education, African centered education and abolitionist teaching. A person belongs here when the cited article names one of these as the person's work. It excludes deaf education figures and critical curriculum theorists, who sit in their own groups. Their work asks schools to build on students' own heritage and to confront racism in schooling.
