Asa Hilliard

Asa Grant Hilliard III (1933-2007), also known as Nana Baffour Amankwatia II, was an American professor of educational psychology whose scholarship connected African and African American history and culture to education and society, including research on ancient Egypt. He held the Fuller E. Callaway Professorship of Urban Education at Georgia State University, with joint appointments in education policy studies and educational psychology, and previously served as dean of the School of Education at San Francisco State University.
