The Autonomous University of Madrid is a Spanish public university located in Madrid. It was founded in 1968 by royal decree and is widely respected as one of the most prestigious universities in Europe, ranked as the top university in Spain by the QS World University Rankings 2022. Its main campus, Cantoblanco, is located about 15 kilometers north of Madrid.
