KU Leuven is a Catholic research university headquartered in Leuven, Belgium, with satellite campuses across the country including in Kortrijk, Antwerp, Ghent and Brussels. It is the largest university in Belgium and the Low Countries and the largest Dutch-language university in the world, enrolling more than 65,000 students in 2021-22, of whom 21 percent were international, with instruction primarily in Dutch though some programs, especially at the graduate level, are taught in English. It once accepted only baptized Catholics but is now open to students of any faith or life-stance.
