A higher education institution located in South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar) or Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Laos, the Philippines), the two sub-regions the UN geoscheme places next to each other and which this atlas gathers into one browsable group rather than splitting a group of this size into two thinner ones. It spans national flagship universities, colonial-era foundations and newer national institutions across both sub-regions.
