Southeast Asia Primary Learning Metrics (SEA-PLM)

International Assessment Program

A regional, large-scale learning assessment coordinated by the SEAMEO Secretariat and UNICEF, first fully administered in 2019, measuring grade-5 students' proficiency in reading, writing, mathematics and global citizenship across participating Southeast Asian education systems including Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines and Vietnam. It was designed to give the region a comparative benchmark similar to what PISA and TIMSS provide elsewhere, tailored to Southeast Asian curricula and languages.
