The IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) is a two-year international curriculum and university-preparation qualification for students typically aged 16 to 19, created by the International Baccalaureate organization and first offered in 1968. Students study six subjects drawn from different subject groups alongside three core requirements, the Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS), and the diploma is recognized for university admission by institutions in many countries, offered at thousands of schools worldwide.
