Learning as a Network, known by the initials LaaN, is a theory of learning proposed by Mohamed Amine Chatti that builds on connectivism, complexity theory and double-loop learning. It takes a learner-centered view of education as the continuous creation and adaptation of a personal knowledge network. Chatti developed LaaN to address what he saw as gaps in connectivism on its own, adding an explicit role for reflection, learning from failure, error detection and correction, and inquiry, extending connectivism's network-based account of learning rather than replacing it.
