Leonardo da Vinci programme

The Leonardo da Vinci Programme is a European Commission funding programme focused on the teaching and training needs of those involved in professional education. It formed part of the European Commission Lifelong Learning Programme 2007 to 2013. Its aim is to help the European labour market by helping European citizens acquire qualifications and have them recognised across national borders. Where other strands of the Lifelong Learning Programme addressed schools or higher education, this strand concerned vocational education and training, the practical preparation of people for work. It funded projects and exchanges among institutions and learners to that end across participating countries.
