Postgraduate Diploma

Graduate and Postgraduate Academic Degrees

A postgraduate diploma is a qualification pitched at master's degree level but requiring less coursework and, unlike a full master's, usually no dissertation, completed in one to two years after a bachelor's degree. It supplements a graduate's original degree with specialised knowledge in a chosen field and is offered internationally by universities and accredited institutions across subjects as varied as management, banking, finance, law, engineering and healthcare. In many university systems it also serves as a bridging qualification a student can convert into a full master's degree with further study.
