University of Buenos Aires

The University of Buenos Aires (UBA) is a public research university in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the second-oldest university in the country and its largest by enrollment. Established in 1821, it has educated 17 Argentine presidents, produced four of the country's five Nobel Prize laureates, and accounts for roughly 40 percent of the country's research output. It enrolls more than 328,000 students across 13 independent faculties, and since 1949 all of its undergraduate programs have been free of charge for everyone regardless of nationality.
