Global Education

Global education is an approach that seeks to advance human development by building understanding of global dynamics across the various channels through which human development is delivered, and in formal schooling it is integrated as an advanced strand in which the global dimensions of local problems are examined through interconnectivity. Its first phase began in the 1960s and 1970s as an effort by educators, non-governmental organizations and intergovernmental organizations to restructure education and society, and it has continued to evolve alongside the internet through social media and other global public spheres.
