Antonio Magarotto (1891 to 1966) was an Italian educator who was born in Pojana Maggiore and died in Rome. He founded the Ente Nazionale Sordi (ENS), the national body for deaf people in Italy, and served as rector of the Padua Deaf institute, so his work combined running an institute for deaf pupils with founding a national organization. His son, Cesare Magarotto, went on to found the World Federation of the Deaf, an international organization that grew out of the same family commitment to deaf people.
