Debbie Millman

Debbie Millman, born in 1961, is an American writer, educator, artist, curator and designer best known as the host of the podcast Design Matters. She is chair and co-founder, with Steven Heller, of the Masters in Branding program at the School of Visual Arts, where she leads graduate design education, and she holds the title of President Emeritus of the American Institute of Graphic Arts. In 2024 she was appointed an Executive Fellow at Harvard Business School. Millman has authored eight books and serves as co-owner and editorial director of Print magazine and co-owner and co-publisher of The Rumpus, with her writing and illustration appearing in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Philadelphia Inquirer, New York Magazine, The Baffler and Fast Company, and her artwork shown at institutions including the Design Museum of Chicago and the Boston Biennale.
