Erasmus Mundus

Erasmus Mundus is a European Union programme that aims to raise the quality of higher education through scholarships and academic cooperation between the EU and the rest of the world, administered through consortia of higher education institutions from Europe and beyond. It pursues internationalizing students, staff, curricula, and research; developing practice in special and inclusive education; and building international collaborative networks, projects, and research efforts. The programme runs through three kinds of action: Joint Programmes, covering joint master's courses and joint doctorates; Partnerships, supporting mobility between European and regional institutions; and Attractiveness Projects, raising the international visibility of European higher education. It takes its name from the Renaissance scholar Erasmus, reflecting its focus on cross-cultural academic exchange.
