Jerome Bruner

Learning and Cognitive Theorists

American cognitive psychologist who helped found the cognitive revolution in psychology and applied it to teaching through discovery learning and the spiral curriculum, the claim that core ideas of any field can be introduced simply and then revisited in deeper form as a learner matures. His Process of Education shaped American curriculum reform from the 1960s onward.
