Qualification entities are the credentials, degrees, licenses and certifications this atlas documents, grouped by a scheme combining the UNESCO International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED 2011) for academic credentials with the standard licensure-versus-certification distinction from workforce-credentialing practice for professional ones: Secondary and School-Leaving Qualifications, Undergraduate Academic Degrees, Graduate and Postgraduate Academic Degrees, Professional Doctorates and Practice Licenses, and Professional and Industry Certifications. This band is where a reader browses education by what a learner or professional actually earns, from a high school diploma through a jurisdiction-mandated practice license, distinct from the institution that confers a qualification and from the policy that may mandate it.
