Universities in Europe

A higher education institution located in Europe under the UN geoscheme, the atlas's largest regional group of higher education institutions. It spans ancient medieval-founded universities, national flagship research universities and specialized institutes across Western, Northern, Southern and Eastern Europe, including institutions in the United Kingdom recorded under a constituent country (England, Scotland) as well as under the whole state, and Russia's own European institutions, placed here under the UN geoscheme's own convention of treating Russia as part of Eastern Europe rather than splitting it across two continents.
